The penthouse sits on the fifth floor of a converted factory in Old Street. 360° terrace access wraps the room in skyline. Smart lighting runs 256 RGB presets, so you can set the floor to your brand colours, slide from daylight warmth into evening atmosphere, or move through moods as the programme changes. 3.5 m ceilings give the room a sense of destination that lower-ceilinged venues simply cannot match.

This is not a hotel ballroom. Arrival feels private. No fluorescent corridor between the lift and the room. Guests come through the building entrance, take the lift up, and step straight into the event. The experience begins at the door.

Why this space works for Events

The goods lift takes everything an event build needs, from staging and floristry to AV, catering supplies, and furniture. Add early access from 7 am for complex set-builds. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, and prep surfaces, so it carries professional catering service, not just reheating.

The terrace makes a drinks reception. 35 m² of private outdoor space, unobstructed across the London skyline. Modular outdoor furniture is included. Wide openings connect terrace to main floor, so guests flow between inside and outside without bottlenecks. At golden hour, the terrace is the room.

Practical information

Capacity: up to 30 guests. Seated layouts are signed off against the brief. Standing events use the terrace for natural spillover without crowding the floor.

Standard hire runs until 10 pm. Keep music and amplified sound considerate after that, since residential units sit above the penthouse floor. Late checkout is £120 per hour for events that need extra pack-down or wrap time. The building stays accessible.

Caterers, AV suppliers, florists, and event production teams come in via the goods lift from ground level. The service entrance is separate from the guest route. Deliveries can land from the morning of the event. Every confirmed booking receives a logistics brief covering access, timings, and supplier protocol.

Capacity & configurations

Six configurations, one space. The penthouse moves from standing reception to seated dinner to theatre-style presentation, without a venue change. We set up and reconfigure on the day.

We hosted a product launch for 25 guests and the terrace alone made the evening. Skyline views, smart lighting set to our brand colours, and a kitchen that actually worked for catering prep. Every guest asked where we found the space.
